Mulla Mulla Therapists

Kristie Dullat

Jingeri. Hello and Welcome!

I am thrilled to meet you and offer my expertise as a therapist. It's important for me to acknowledge that I live and work on the Aboriginal land of the Kombumerri and Minjungbal Peoples of the Yugambeh language region. I have immense respect and admiration for the Traditional Owners of this land and their wisdom and healing practices. I also deeply appreciate the elders, past and present, who continue to pass on the knowledge of the land, seas, rivers, and rainforests within the cultural practices of the longest continuous culture.

As a therapist, I am passionate about providing safe and inclusive therapies to help you make the changes you want. I have spent a significant portion of my career working with individuals who have experienced severe and persistent mental illness, trauma, and inequity, and my work as a social welfare worker has deepened my understanding of the human experience.

When you join me for therapy sessions, you can expect me to bring my curiosity, empathy, and humanness to your experiences. Together, we will explore your story and work towards finding a place of comfort and deeper understanding. I believe that everyone has the potential to heal and grow, and I am committed to supporting you in your journey towards personal development and mental wellness.

I cherish spending time with my family outside of work, and we all share a love for nature. I find spending time in nature to be a deeply rejuvenating experience. Whether exploring the beach or spending time at my bush home, being surrounded by the beauty of the natural world fills me with a sense of peace and joy. Storytelling and deep listening have been significant parts of my life since childhood. I am passionate about providing people with a safe space to explore and acknowledge their life's journey while surrounded by the natural world.

Let's work together to achieve the changes you desire in your life. We can collaboratively develop new skills, knowledge, consciousness, and possibilities. It will be my pleasure to accompany you on your journey.

Warm regards,

Kristie

Jess Whitelum

I live and work on Aboriginal land of the Kombumerri and Minjungbal peoples of the Yugambeh language region. I pay my respects to elders past, present and emerging and will remain forever indebted through my words and actions for the shared knowledge, wisdom and stories of country, culture, community and connection.

As a psychotherapist I am honoured to not only walk closely alongside the courageous people that come and share their stories with me, but I am also honoured to help hold, get stuck, fall down, be messy and rise up… together. As a person who has always been curious about people’s unique stories and the power of healing in relationship, I bring with me a warm, grounded, spacious and relational presence that welcomes all parts of you and you and I, into the shared space. My integrative and collaborative approach to therapy acknowledges the inter-relationship of the mind, body, spirit and how such elements intelligently respond to the external field involving humans, non-humans, community and society.

I work from and through a humanistic, trauma-informed, polyvagal, gestalt, somatic, neuroscience and attachment theory lens. This means safety, relationality and body attunement guide the direction and pace of the session.

Outside of therapeutic work, I spend a lot of my time in and amongst nature. This is where I feel most connected and at home. You will most likely find me either in the mountains or on the coast sitting, walking or running amongst trees, creeks and the ocean.

My favourite thing ever is to either pack my rucksack and set off out bush or paddle into the ocean. Since getting my first puppy Freddie, I can also safely say exploring new parks and trails with her and my partner brings me much joy.

With my love for nature, combined with my personal experience of being in the client chair both online and in the therapy room, I also offer outdoor options for therapy sessions. This could look like moving, walking, or sitting in an outdoor space such as a local park, beach, creek or trail.

It is an honour and great privilege to witness the human-ness of sharing, uncovering and discovering the new, old and most vulnerable parts of self, together.

I look forward to working with you.

Warmly, Jess
